Bowling & birthdays

Greetings,

I ventured home (Florida home) this weekend... for my niece's 6th birthday.

Nothing like hanging out with a large group of 6 year-olds, loud music, screaming kids, and bowling balls to make you feel young again.

I think the highlight of the night was Kadence's little brother Karter Lawson and his bowling ball prop...

As soon as the ball was released... he was ready for a new one.

It's nice being home again...

Wedding

Greetings,

Here is a nice (except my mouth) shot of us ladies at the wedding.

It's me, my sister Kasey, my mom, and my grandmother.   Not sure why we were all dressed in black for my aunt (mom's sister's) wedding...?

Congrats Rachel and Jim... we love you.  And Harry is sorry he is deployed and cannot officiate the wedding.

Blessings,

Ah... 21 again?

Happy 21st Birthday little Brother!

Kayne turned 21 today... but for some craziness I still think of him as 12.

Love you,

Kristie, Harry, Oliver, & Miss Peabody

... and I really think you should come home with me and not stay in Greece (just had to throw that last part in there!)

The tutor

Greetings,

This week I've been playing catch-up on school work.... again! Seriously... what is my problem.

Fortunately, I have help.

Regardless of where, what time, whatever subject, Oliver is my sidekick, my tutor so to speak. If I am on the sofa reading... Oliver positions himself on TOP of my books and papers. He bats around and chases my highlighters and paperclips.

But the kicker.... is when I have finally finished all the readings (with his help of course) and sit down at the computer to start writing....

He wants to be right there.

First he stands in front of me.... then turns to the computer screen for a few minutes before I can coax him to lay down so I can see the screen.

Leisurely, he will bat at the mouse, chew on a few paper edges... before he drifts off the la-la land.

And eventually he will start to snore. He is just too cute at that point to move. So I gently slide the papers out from under his sleeping limp body careful not to wake him. I wind up with paper everywhere... on the floor, articles in my lap, across the printer... anywhere but on the desk where Oliver has decided to take up post.

I enjoy the company though... unlike Harry, who cannot hand with me during the wee hours of the morning (and Harry will not fit on the desk top and Harry snores louder) and Oliver is not as harsh a critic as Harry.

BLessings to those with a good tutor,

Kristie

Graduation

Greetings,

As we continue down this memory lane.... I stumbled along some rather grainy pictures. Pictures of Harry's Seminary graduation.

Here we are at Mercer University's McAfee School of Theology where Harry received his Master's of Divinity.

Here's Harry and Jerry.

And Harry with his girls... me, Italia, Sandra (my mom), Kadence, and Kasey.

Congratulations Harry.... when are you starting your Doctorate?

Blessings,

Kristie

Trip down memory lane...

Greetings,

YEsterday... when I was cleaning the computer area .... trying to do anything besides school work... I came across an old Samsonite camera bag. Inside were several old, no idea when I saw them last, picture disks and memory cards. I even found the long lost Flip Video.

Curious to see what had long ago been stored on these archives.... I popped them into the computer and anxiously awaited the imagines.

A few things....

1. wow we are looking old

2. wow we have put on some weight

So I wanted to share a few photos I recently discovered.... our wedding day. From the looks of the photos these are the pictures from all the many, many disposable cameras we had placed within everyone's reach.

I am not one for sentiments... but I did not pack our family portraits or photos for fear of something "happening" the them along the journey. SO for almost 2 years now... I have not seen any of our pictures. And it was nice to see and remember how much fun we had over 8 years ago.

Blessings to those treading down memory lane,

Kristie

Naptime

Greetings,

With all the excitement even Peabody needs a rest.

So during naptime Misses P decided to curl up beside Logan. I think it was the closest she has been to Logan for the longest amount of time. I guess even dogs think they are the cutest when they nap....

Blessings,

Kristie
