Greetings,
Definitely another Manic Monday.
1. I am severally behind. In schoolwork. In housework. In social networking... I have not been on Facebook in over a week... and I have no clue what is going on in my fellow blogger's lives.
2. Harry's ship pulls in tomorrow from Haiti... and he will check-in for the first time. I think he is excited and nervous.
3. Miss Peabody misses Greece... Oliver love the new house. It is full of open lighting (previous owners took most of the window coverings) and the windows have large molding ledges for him to perch on.
4. We have finished the wall prep work on the downstairs rooms and beginning to paint.
5. Our furniture status.... Atlanta household goods arrive Friday? Souda Bay household goods arrive mid April. We have two shipments coming from Greece, but we think they have been placed in the same crate. So much for an express shipment.
6. Our desktop computer died. I purposely hand carried it on the airplane... on the shipment over to Greece... our previous one died... so I did not want to take any chances on this one. Needless to say... it is in the shop. A place called the computer doctor.
7. We have talked over the phone with a few of our fellow Cretans from Greece... and it excites us and then makes us very sad when we get off the phone.
8. We are still confused most of the time. When we turned on our cell phone... the lady kept giving us our many options and it was overwhelming. At the fast food drive thru's...we take too long... too many choices. When the cable guy gave us our package options... I almost had a breakdown... too many choices.
9. I want to end on positives.... we have hot water on demand, 203 cable channels, fast food restaurants, the ability to call home without an eight hour time change, and soooo many more things than we had in Greece.
10. I miss Kayne.
Blessings,
