Here's Lucy, the CO's dog, and our last scheduled house guest.
It has been quite a week. An extra pet in-house means a whole new array of circumstances...
1. Cat has been prone to kitty seizures... anytime Lucy comes with a visual sight of Oliver it sends him into fits of spitting, hissing, back bowed, paws swinging, throat growling convulsions.
2. Where ever Lucy is... so to is Miss P and Oliver. If she goes to the sofa... so does her entourage. Bed... the faithful followers trail behind (makes for an uncomfortable nights sleep). On a regular night.... Miss P sleeps on her bed and Oliver wanders the house until the wee hours and then settles on Harry's pillow, but not with Lucy Lu in bed.... everyone's in bed and needs some part of their bodies / paws to touch both Harry and myself. Food bowl.... the line behind her is worse than Macy's during the after Thanksgiving sale (pushing and shoving turned all out brawl).
3. Miss Peabody has become JEALOUS. Real jealous. She likes Lucy... loves to play with her. But the second Lucy bats her pretty eyes at Harry.... Miss P permanently positions herself on Harry's lap.
So here at the Hansen household... we have had to make a few accommodations to keep a peaceful household. Once a few adjustments were made... all was well...
that is until Lucy went home.
And Miss P is lonely.
Very lonely. She has been pouting ever since Lucy left. Harry suggested we might need to get her a companion.... then I reminded him of how the 5 of us tried to sleep in a queen size bed.
Blessings to those lonely without their friends,
Kristie
