House Hunting Day 2

Greetings,

Day 2 and we are on our way North.

Our car (Harry's SUV) has been in Florida... and we need it in Virginia... so we are driving up before our meeting with the Realtor.

Visit with grandparents.  Pack up.  Gas up.

We are taking my 5 year-old niece with us.?.

And we're off.

First stop... Alabama.  Harry needs a potty break (chronic coffee drinker).  Kadence needs refreshments.
Along the way I think I see snow.... except it's not (we are in the south).

It's cotton.  The landscape is scattered with this powder whiteness.  It's actually beautiful.  Maybe because it's so different than Greece?

We continue on...

Listen to Kadence play.  Take naps...

Somehow or another... she managed to sleep like this.  For an hour.

In Georgia.    Oh, Georgia on my mind.  Why can we not just go back to our house in Atlanta?  We do not even stop while passing through.... Harry wanted to make it through before Atlanta Friday traffic..

(Oh how I miss this... lanes and lanes as far as the eye can see!)

And here's spaghetti junction... Harry's old stomping grounds.  Monday through Friday for 3 years he traveled through here going to school.  Mercer's right off this exit.

Lunch at Mc'Donald's.... um, I miss normal food!

Just before we crossed over into South Carolina... I had to make a pit stop....

We needed to stretch our legs a little.  That and I needed a few things.... from Banana, J Crew, Ann Taylor, American Eagle, and Le Gourmet Chef.  And Harry needed another potty stop.  This makes his 7th one?  He potty's more than the 5 year-old!

Around 5:30 ... 6ish it gets dark... and we begin to get sleepy....

But we are trekking onward to our family in Charlotte, NC.

Kadence is ready to visit her cousin Logan.  And we have not seen these guys since they were in Greece this past summer....

She entertains herself with her new DSi Santa brought her.

Finally, we make it....  watch the kids run round and round playing.  Danelle has made pizza for us.... our first back in the U.S.  and its marvelous.  Thick crust pizza loaded with toppings... the way pizza is supposed to be.

Stay up late chatting with the family... catching up on all the gossip.

Off to bed with a full belly, warm fuzzy's from the family, and hopes of making it safely to Virginia tomorrow.

Traveling blessings,
