It's a Jungle in Here..

Greetings,

It's is a total mad house here.  We start one project to find four more needing our immediate attention.

It's a jungle and I do not mean the previous owners little kids room...

The hard work would not be so bad if we could actually get a good nights sleep.  The air mattress isn't so kind to our hips, shoulders, and achy every thing else.

Although, because Harry weighs more than me... my side of the air mattress is a little firmer and a tad bit more comfortable.  Miss Peabody was catapulted off the bed when Harry exhaustedly fell into bed.

Our sleeping arrangements started here...

Then we had cable installed.  Can you believe the previous owners did not have cable or even cable hookups?  We had to fork out almost $500 to have cable outlets installed throughout the house.  The previous owners believed in reading and listening to classical music.

I believe in reading and listening to music.... when there is nothing on t.v. to watch.  Nah, just kidding.

When the cable guys came out.... they wanted to hang the cables outside the house instead of installing outlets.  I prefer the update look.  So they gave us a temporary hookup until they could come back and custom install the outlets.

So we moved into the room where the temporary cable / internet was available....

We have 203 cable channels with high-speed internet access.  Thank God.

A few days later, they cable guys came back to install the outlets.  After about 4 hours and 6 custom outlets later.... we brought this house into the 21-century in the communications department.

I felt bad for the cable guys....  it took forever to drill holes from the basement to the 1st floor and from the attic to the 2nd floor.  The cable guy said with sweat furrowing down his brow, "I think there is mortar in the walls or something".

I guess I should have showed him the gapping hole in the wall and he could have seen the contents of what's in the walls.  Poor guy

So with the custom outlets... we moved again into the office...which has been patched, sanded, caulked, washed, taped, painted, and cleaned.  It's the first room that's somewhat ready... except for sanding down and restoring the original wood molding.

Oh, and I bought a $10 desk from the junkstore to hold all our junk.  The office furniture will arrive next week.

Oh, how I wish we had a real mattress with a finished bedroom.

Blessings,

Kristie
